This is about 5.5 miles round trip and is rated Easy
   
Directions:
exit I-5 at Poinsettia Lane in Carlsbad and go east on Poinsettia for 0.3 miles,then turn right on Batiquitos Drive and continue 0.5 miles and go right on Gabbiano Lane,which leads to the lagoon visitor center and the trailhead.
